This page contains both the Boarding Agreement and Veterinarian Care Release.
Please read this page completely and sign both documents to confirm that you have read, understand and agree.
For the purposes of this document, the term Owner is synonymous with the person contracting services for one or more domestic animals or pets. The terms of this document apply to the pet(s) being boarded with Pritchard Pets (“Boarder”). A signed Agreement must be provided to Pritchard Pets before service is provided. This agreement is made between Pritchard Pets and owner of pet(s) (“Owner”).
Boarding Agreement
Pritchard Pets is an independent boarder owned and run by Laura Pritchard. Owner’s pet(s) will be under the care of Laura Pritchard during boarding at Pritchard Pets. This agreement applies to Owner and pet as stipulated on the Submit a Request form. Both parties agree that this serves as “the agreement” for issues involved in boarding the Owner’s pet(s).
Responsiblities
Owner authorizes Boarder to care for their pet(s) during the dates stipulated on the Submit a Request form. Pritchard Pets agrees to care for pet(s) in the most caring, responsible and healthy way possible.
Laura Pritchard will be the only carer during the time of boarding. Boarder will bring pet(s) to Boarder’s home with all necessary supplies including, but not limited to, those listed on the Pet Parent Info page, or as discussed, for pet(s) care. Owner will pick up the pet(s) at the end of boarding, with all supplies and remaining food returned by Boarder. If any supplies are forgotten, Boarder and Owner will arrange for their return. Actual times of drop-off and pick-up will be agreed upon between Owner and Boarder via text.
Boarder will perform the agreed-on services with adequate attention and care. Owner agrees to assist in this performance by providing necessary information and guidance before and during boarding. Boarder is not an employee or partner of the Owner.

Owner agrees that pet(s) is not dangerous and Boarder may reach emergency contact/vet listed on the Request for Boarding page if the Owner cannot be reached.
Terms
Pritchard Pets is an independent boarder owned and run by Laura Pritchard. Owner’s pet(s) will be under the care of Laura Pritchard during boarding at Pritchard Pets.
Pritchard Design has the right to refuse service at their discretion based on pet history, behavior, or behavior at initial meeting. Pritchard Design will not provide pet sitting to aggressive dogs.
Pet Information
For the purposes of this document and for the length of boarding, the Request for Boarding form is considered to be official information for Owner’s pet(s). In the case of any major changes, a new form should be submitted to Pritchard Pets.
Scheduling
All new clients must schedule an initial meeting with Boarder prior to the start of service.
All scheduling by Owner should be done through pritchardpets.com or directly with Laura Pritchard. Owner should not assume booking has been made until confirmation from Laura Pritchard.
Do not leave town without receiving a confirmation from Boarder. Emergency/Last minute visits are subject to Boarder’s scheduling availability.
Owner must make boarding request and receive confirmation from Laura Pritchard. Pritchard Pets is not liable for errors in scheduling.
Compensation
50% of payment is due on finalization of booking with the other 50% due when pet(s) is dropped off for boarding, unless Owner and Boarder agree otherwise. Pritchard Pets accepts payments by Venmo (LauraPritchard40), cash, or check, Venmo preferred.
Paper invoice or receipt will not be supplied by Boarder unless specifically requested by Owner.
Owner agrees to reimburse the pet sitter for any additional fees during pet sitting resulting from unforeseen expenses for items contributing to the health and well-being of pet(s) (ie, pet food, kitty litter, health supplies). Receipt of purchase will be supplied to Owner. Except as stated specifically otherwise, Boarder will be responsible for any costs for supplies or activities undertaken by Boarder’s choice during boarding.
Boarder is responsible for its own taxes on payments received from Owner.
Term of Agreement
This agreement is valid for full length of relationship between Owner and Boarder.
Termination of Agreement or Boarding
This agreement may be terminated by Boarder at any time outside of existing boarding. If termination is necessary during boarding due to dangerous pet(s), illness of pet(s) or Boarder, or other extreme circumstances at discretion of Boarder, Boarder will arrange for pet(s) to be taken to a commercial boarder as agreed upon with Owner. If Boarder and Owner can’t come to an agreement, Boarder will choose where to take pet(s) and inform Owner.
Authorization for Emergency Medical Care
Boarder is authorized to obtain emergency medical care for pet(s) by vet or animal hospital listed by Owner on Request for Boarding form. Owner must fill out and sign the Medical Release Form before boarding begins.
Extremely sick pets should be under the care of your veterinarian; Pritchard Pets will not provide service to pets that are very sick. We will provide service to pets that have special needs, such as elderly pets.
If Owner’s pet(s) becomes ill while under the care of Pritchard Design, Owner authorizes Laura Pritchard to administer care, or, if necessary, to transport pet(s) to the veterinarian of Owner’s choice, as stipulated on Request for Boarding form. If Owner’s veterinarian is not available, Pritchard Pets will select the veterinarian most readily available. Owner authorizes Pritchard Design to approve emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian and Owner agrees to promptly reimburse Pritchard Pets for any charges incurred. Owner releases Pritchard Pets from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense. Pritchard Pets will remain in communication with Owner throughout this process.
Indemnification
If Boarder is harmed or injured by pet(s), the Owner accepts full responsibility for the cost of any necessary medical attention required by either the Boarder or pet(s). Pritchard Design has the right to refuse service if pet(s) has a history of aggression or biting or if Boarder feels it would not be a good fit. Owner will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to Boarder, or other persons, by the pet(s). Owner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Pritchard Design, in the event of a claim by any person injured by Owner’s pet(s).
No Implied Waiver
Explains that if either Party allows the other to ignore or break an obligation under the agreement, it does not mean that Party waives any future rights to require the other to fulfill those (or any other) obligations during future boardings.
Electronic Signatures
Although Owner will sign this Agreement and the Veterinarian Release in a different location than the boarder, or use electronic devices to transmit signatures, all of the separate pieces will be considered part of the same agreement.
As the Owner of the pet(s) listed on the Request for Boarding form:
- I, the undersigned, expressly waive and relinquish any and all claims against Pritchard Pets, except those arising from negligence on the part of Pritchard Pets.
- I have read this agreement in its entirety and fully understand and accept its terms and conditions.
- I authorize this Agreement to be valid approval for services so as to Pritchard Design to accept all future telephone, text, or email bookings for service without additional signed Agreements or written authorizations.
- I agree to notify Pritchard Design of any concerns within 24 hours after picking up pet(s).
- I hereby declare that: (1) I am the authorized pet owner signing this Agreement being completed electronically; (2) I have read and understand the Agreement; (3) the name listed as the Owner Signature serves as my signature and denotes the verifications by me to the same extent and effect as my actual signature on such signature lines.
- I understand that this Agreement is valid from the date signed, replaces any prior Agreements, and is valid until official termination of relationship with Pritchard Pets.

Veterinarian Care Release
In the event of an emergency, Pritchard Design will make every attempt to contact the owner and and the emergency contact. In the event that no contact can be reached or time is crucial, Pritchard Design will seek appropriate medical care for Owner’s pet(s).
Pritchard Design will make every attempt to take pet(s) to the veterinarian or hospital listed on the Request for Boarding form. If designated veterinarian is not available, Pritchard Design will bring pet(s) to another qualified vet or hospital.
As the Owner of the pet(s) listed on the Request for Boarding form:
- I hereby give Laura Pritchard and Pritchard Pets my express permission to take my pet(s) to the veterinarian listed on the Request for Boarding form (or to the closest open facility if the primary vet is not available). I give permission for the veterinarian to administer any care or medications necessary. I will assume full responsibility for the payment for any and all veterinary services provided.
- I authorize veterinarian caring for my pet(s) to share all medical records and information of my pet(s) with Laura Pritchard at Pritchard Pets.
- I authorize veterinarian caring for my pet(s) and Laura Pritchard at Pritchard Pets to share all medical records and information of my pet(s) with emergency vet clinics in an effort to provide the best care possible.
- I agree to assume full responsibility for payment and reimbursement for any and all veterinary services rendered.
- I understand that Pritchard Pets assumes no responsibility for the loss or injury of any pet(s) and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment and expenses.
- This agreement is valid from the date below and grants permission for all future veterinary care without additional authorization each time Pritchard Pets cares for my pet(s).
